Just over a week ago, Jon Hatch – who recently completed his doctoral dissertation at the Irish School of Ecumenics, Trinity College Dublin at Belfast, led some Christian and theological reflection on Belfast’s “peace walls.”
While I attended the walk and have read Jon’s insightful dissertation, I have yet to blog about it (a consequence of a lack of time due to working hard on the manuscript of my forthcoming book, co-authored with Gerardo Marti, The Deconstructed Church: Understanding Emerging Christianity, Oxford).
But there will be more opportunity for Christian reflection on the walls tomorrow at Clonard Monastery at 7.30 when Dr John Kyle, a councillor with the Progressive Unionist Party, speaks on “Parades, Flags, Peace Walls and Christianity.”
The event is sponsored by the Clonard Monastery-Fitzroy Presbyterian Fellowship and all are welcome.
Is this open to everyone?
Yes!
