Register for ‘Considering Grace: Unpacking the Impact’, Online on Thursday 3 Dec

Join us for a special online event on Thursday 3 December, which reflects on the impact of my book, co-authored with Jamie Yohanis, Considering Grace: Presbyterians and the Troubles.
The conference will also mark the launch of study resources to accompany the book, which may be used in congregational and other small group settings. The study resources were produced by Dave Thompson after an intensive process that included a series of focus groups in six locations in Northern Ireland.

The conference is organised by the Presbyterian Church, which has provided the following information:

Launched in November 2019, Considering Grace tells the stories of 120 Presbyterians and their experience of the conflict.
In this online conference, Canon David Porter, Chief of Staff to the Archbishop of Canterbury will unpack the impact of the book for wider society. David is formerly director of ECONI, which sought to equip Christians to address division and conflict and challenged churches to think biblically about peacebuilding.
Considering Grace also raises a number of challenges for ministry and witness in PCI itself, and Very Rev Dr Stafford Carson, Principal of Union Theological College will unpack the impact of the book in this context.
There will be opportunity to engage with the issues raised by David and Stafford during a panel conversation including both speakers along with Dr Nicola Brady (General Secretary, Irish Council of Churches) and co-authors Dr Gladys Ganiel and Dr Jamie Yohanis.
A resource to help congregations unpack the impact of Considering Grace in their local setting will also be launched during the event.
The event is free to attend but registration is essential to secure your place.
